Valentine Party Game Ideas for Adults
Whether you have a large crowd or just a few friends, there's something here for you.
Lovers Lifesaver Relay Game
Get the party started with this enjoyable game suited for more mature guests. LifeSaver candies and toothpicks are all you need to prepare.
Start by dividing the guests into groups with equal number of players. More players make the game last longer and fun. It is also a good idea to have a good mix of male and female players in each group.
Have each group line up in a single file and give each player a toothpick that they should hold in their mouth. The LifeSaver candy is given to the first person in each group's line. He or she hangs the candy on the toothpick in his or her mouth.
As the start signal goes off, the first player passes the candy from his or her toothpick to the toothpick of the next player in line without using their hands. The game continues until the LifeSaver is passed to the toothpick of the last player in line. The first group to finish the relay wins the game.
If the LifeSaver happens to fall, or someone uses their hands during the game, the team must start all over again with the LifeSaver on the toothpick of the first player.
Suck and Blow Valentine Card Game
This game has no winners or losers, but it provides lots of laughs and excitement to the party. You need any card from a standard deck of playing cards for this one. This fun game is best played with 10 players or more, having an even number of participants with equal number from both genders so they can sit in an alternate fashion (boy-girl-boy-girl).

Arrange the seats in a tight circle so that the players sit very close to each other. A playing card is given to one player in the group and the object of the game is to pass the card to the next person without using their hands.
The first player holds the card on his or her mouth by sucking on it to be able to create suction, careful not to drop it, and passes it to the person on the right by blowing to let go of the card as the next person tries to suck on the card. Any player who drops the card will be kissing the person next to him or her, and the play continues. A light, fun-filled game ideal for any single people present at the party!
Romantic Love Scrabble
Adapt a classic family game and make it fit to your Valentine's party games. If you have a standard Scrabble game at home, try playing Romantic Love Scrabble, which is perfect for mature guests to play on Valentine's Day.

Scrabble Love Kit and Game at Amazon
The game plays exactly the same as regular Scrabble, but the words formed must be romantic in nature. If the word is not, it has to be proven that the word can be somehow interpreted in a different way, either romantically or sexually, by using it in a sentence. (For which, read: sexual innuendos).
Example: someone could get away with point by playing the word MELONS by justifying it with a sentence that goes like "She had huge melons." This is surely to get lots of laughs at the party! Standard Scrabble scoring system applies.

Mending a Broken Heart Game
This one may not actually fall into the "Valentine's party game" category, but it is a great ice breaker for adult Valentine's Day parties, especially if guests don't all know each other yet.
You have to prepare big red heart cutouts prior to the party by making use of standard construction paper. Cut the hearts in half using zigzag patterns. Make sure that the pattern of each pair of hearts is significantly different from other pairs. Give each guest half a red heart as soon as they arrive, and ask them to find the one that matches the pattern of their broken heart. This is a great way to encourage guests to mingle and get to know each other.

Unwrap the Candy Bar
Another interesting way to spend the night is playing this Valentine party game for adults, which is sure to gain praise from your party guests for the fun factor! You don't have to spend money on anything if you have wrapped candy bars of any kind at home.
Divide the guests in pairs, preferably a male and a female partner. The game is played with partners facing each other with their hands behind them. Put the wrapped candy bars in the mouth of each pair. Once you say go, each pair has to unwrap and eat the candy bar by using only their mouth. Keep in mind that the hands should be kept behind players' backs during the entire game. The first pair to finish their entire candy bar wins the game.
Be My Valentine
This is one enjoyable game that will definitely add some flavor to your Valentine party games. The only thing you need for the game is any kind of object that relates to the Valentine's Day theme. You could make use of something exotic like underwear, or a strange item, to make it funnier.

The game starts with blindfolding one person who takes a seat at the middle with the rest of the group forming a circle around them. The group then passes the object around the circle. While this object is being passed around, the person in blindfold says "Be My Valentine" out loud. Whoever holds the object when the word is called must either use the object in front of everybody (which is why underwear is funny), or give the blindfolded person a kiss on any part of the body (or both if they wish!). After the kiss or forfeit, the person at the center removes the blindfold to see who his or her Valentine is.
Cupid Bingo
Everyone has played Bingo at least once, so it would be a great idea to slightly modify the game to incorporate the Valentine party games theme to it. This game plays exactly the same as the standard Bingo, only that the word at the top of the cards says CUPID instead of BINGO. The free square at the center of the card can have a red heart to add a little bit of detail to make the cards a bit more thematic.
You can make the CUPID Bingo cards at home, either on your computer or by making them manually using a construction paper. Like the standard Bingo card, each card should have a 5 x 5 grid. Assign the squares random numbers.
Make little paper cutouts with the CUPID cards numbers such as U1, D12, etc. and put them all in a single container. You can make use of foil-covered chocolates to cover the spaces of the card if you have them at home, though you can just have counters or markers of any kind. There is a moderator assigned in every game who calls out the CUPID numbers.
The first player to yell CUPID after having either a vertical, horizontal, or diagonal line formation wins the game. A kiss from all other players serves as the prize of the winner of each round!
Valentine Party Games for Kids and the Whole Family
These games are all suitable either for a Valentine's Day party for kids, or for a mixed age group crowd like a family Valentine party.
Make a Word
This game is a perfect starter for everybody present at the party. Beforehand, you can choose to write a large print of the word "Valentine's Day" on a poster board, or give each guest a piece of paper with this particular word written on top of the sheet instead.
The simple goal is for them to make as many words as they can out of "Valentine's Day". Give your go signal once the guests are all set. Set a time limit of at least five minutes for the entire duration of the game. The person with the most words formed at the end of the allotted time is declared the winner.
If everybody enjoyed the game enough to play again, think of another phrase, perhaps something meaningful to your family, or
Paper Dance
This Valentine’s Day, the party can be made even more special by having a couple of pairs dancing on a piece of paper. This is far from being a serious dance contest so anyone can join and enjoy this entertaining game. The rules are very basic and the best thing is you only need a music player and a few old newspapers in order to play.
Divide the guests in pairs of opposite gender. The pairs have to dance with the music and when the music is stopped, the pairs must step inside the paper. Then the paper is folded in half and the play resumes. This sounds easy but the game becomes more difficult as it progresses when the paper decreases in size, making it hard for both partners to step into it. If one of the partners slips or steps outside the paper when the music is stopped, then the pair is out of the game. The pair who managed to dance until the end of the game on that small paper wins.
Catch My Heart Game
This is one of the few Valentine’s Day party games that don’t require much preparation and set-up. All you need are just three or four bean bags (preferably red-colored or heart shaped) and a large area for the players to play in. This game works best with 5 to 12 players.
Have the guests seated in a circle facing each other. Hand one bean bag to one player and tell the player to call out another player’s name to which he has to gently toss the bean bag. The player who catches the bean bag does the same and this continues until all players get a chance of throwing and catching the bean bag. The game starts slowly but once everyone gets the hang of it, another bean bag is tossed into the mix. The group must keep the two bean bags going and try not to drop either one. Again, once they feel comfortable, throw the third one, and the fourth. It is fun to see if they can handle it and how long they can keep the bags from falling. The game is repeated once a bag drops on the ground.
Valentine's Day Pictionary
Considered by many as a favorite game in any occasion, you don’t want to miss playing this one at your own Valentine’s Day party. What's great about Pictionary is that you can always adapt it to fit any party theme. In this case, the game involves having the guests draw Valentine’s Day-themed ideas.

Prepare some print-outs of Valentine's Day related words or phrases. Cut each word or phrase and place them all in a bowl. Consider using words such as romance, sweetheart, heartache, and box of chocolate. It all depends on how challenging you want the game to be but try to adjust the level of difficulty by using age appropriate words or phrases. Divide the guests into two teams and have each team take turns by deciding which representative of the team gets to draw a clue first. Then he or she has to draw a picture of the word or phrase as the teammates try to guess what it is. The player can make gestures but he or she can never talk. Allot 1 minute to give the team enough time to guess. A point is earned if the team members guessed it correctly. If they didn’t, the opposing team can guess and earns a point if they get the answer correctly.
The game ends after all the players have had a chance to draw a clue provided there is equal number of players on each side. If there isn’t, some players might have to draw more than once. The team with the most points wins the game.
