Princess Party Games and Ideas. She will feel the Queen of the Party.

Little girl ready for Princess Party GamesPrincess Party Games are ideal for girls between 2 up to 8 years of age approximately when celebrating a princess party. Specially these kind of parties are ideal for birthday parties as they are very specific themed parties and you should use special character-fantasy costumes (as a princess, as a fairy, Cinderella, Snow White, the Little Mermaid, etc.) and decoration to create the princess fairy tell environment. Birthdays only take place once a year so why not hosting a princess party for your girl seducing the future guests with a nice looking princess birthday invitation, making both your girl and you a princess birthday cake instead of buying it and enjoy playing some princess birthday party games? Nevertheless a princess party would be ideal for a little girl anytime during the year, not only for her birthday.

She may even have already hinted to you somehow that she would like to dress as a princess, as a mermaid, as a fairy, etc. and that would like to play princess party games. In that case then you can give her the pleasure to disguise herself as the character of her dreams and you can either buy her a princess costume in a costume store or you could make it for her yourself and why not having her to help you creating her princess costume?. Most of the girls will love to help their mums to create, cut, sew and stich their own princess dress and costume and this would be handcraft part of the princess party games just before the party starts.

Whether the girl disguises as the heroine of her dreams or somebody else does, it would be ideal if somebody disguised as another character of the same fairy tell would narrate her the fairy tell aloud among the other guests (for example if she disguises as Cinderella a young boy or and adult could disguise as a prince then)and tell her the fairy tell aloud among the rest of the guests and them make a fairy tell trivia about the tell that has just been narrated. A good idea would be to modify a traditional princess fairy tell to make the princess fairy tell trivia more difficult. The rests of the guests could be disguised as well as other characters of the fairy tell. On the other hand there are several companies that would arrange princess parties for you and bring somebody along disguised as a princess, fairy, etc. and do the whole playing role, would narrate the tell to the guests of the party and would run the whole show and lead the party. But if your budget is more limited I will provide you right now with princess party games and ideas to make it look and feel nice and beautiful for her.

Our first idea for fun princess party games would be that you first played for the children any type of princess Disney Movie that you could easily rent or buy such as: Cinderella I or II, The Little Mermaid I or II, The beauty and the Beast or the Beauty and the Beast- The enchanted Christmas (ideal for Christmas time), Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Disney Platinum Edition), Snow White- The Fairest of Them All, Sleeping Beauty, Belle's Tells of Frienship, Belle's Magical World (Clam), Alladin & King of Thieves, etc. They are all type of princess Disney movies. Once the children have watched the movie you can start a princess movie trivia and having the other kids participate as well. Every time they answer right a question you could give them a candy. You should tell them beforehand that after watching the movie there will be a trivia and if they answer the questions right they will get a prize and by so doing you will get the children paying more attention to the movie. At the end of the princess movie quiz besides of the candy you could give her the present that could be for example: the princess chocolate cake itself or any toy or doll according to her age.

Another princess party games of mine that came to my head would be to print out or to get some colour prints of the characters and things of the fairy tell (for example the Cinderella, the Dwarf, the castle of the prince, a pumpkin, a horse carriage, etc. and have them printed out twice, you cut these preferably in 2 inches approximately square shapes and then you put the printed side over the table. The girl has to find the same pair, in other words she has to find the other printed prince, princess, castle, pumkin, oger, witch, etc. that is just the same. First she gets one print and turns it over and see what it has printed on it, then she puts it back down on the table and goes for another print and does the same till she finds the pair and puts the found pairs aside. The bigger the number of printed characters or things of the tell, the better because it becomes more difficult and the princess game will last a bit longer.

There are plenty of princess party games that you could play by adapting them from their classical version. For example the game musical chairs could be turned into "princess musical chairs". So you get as many chairs as the number of players in the game and on each chair you have to stick a poster or printed out piece of paper with the good characters of the fairy tell except one chair that will have stuck on it on the back or on the seat one of the very evil characters of the tell. Then somebody plays music: some disney, kids of preferably the soundtrack of the fairy tell will do and when the DJ stops the music the children have to try to sit as fast as possible on any chair except for the one that has got the evil character of the fairy tell on it. The boy or girl that only finds the chair with the evil character on it available because he/she has been the last to sit or the boy or the girl that sits on that chair by mistake is eliminated and then you remove any chair except the one with the evil character on it. At the end there will be 2 players and only one chair, then you remove the chair with the evil character and put the chair with the main character of the fairy tell and the child who sits first on that chair after the music stop wins.

More princess party ideas or princess party games for you? Sure. Indeed there are plenty of children games that you can easily find in any children's games and activites books so I will not waste the time here explaining them but rather talk about how to adapt them to become princess party games and the next of my princess games series would be to create a princess piņata out of papers and cardboards, stick on it posters or print outs of the characters of the fairy tell or much better stick on it the faces of the evil characters of the fairy tell (the girl is meant to beat the pinata with a stick so it would represent that she is beating the evil characters of the fairy tell) and fill the pinata inside with some candies and some items related with the fairy tell: a little fairy tell book, a little fairy magic wand that you may buy in a costume store, a princess crown, etc. Then as it is classical she has to beat blindfolded the pinata with a piece of stick till the pinata cracks whilst two people hold it and move it around with a piece of rope to make the pinata more difficult to be beaten . If you visit some costume or disguise stores you will surely find some items that appear or are related to the fairy tell like some little masks for example. As well you can fill up the pinata with some little toys or dolls. Just be careful when you choose the items to fill the pinata with so that they are light enough for the pinata to hold them without cracking.

Another brilliant of the princess games would be to give the girl a magic wand that you can just make up by wrapping a little and thin piece of stick with some golden wrapping paper or just buy the magic wand in a costume store and tell her that because she's been given the magic wand she can get the adults to do what she tells them to do (only possible things) such as: barking as a dog, crawling, bringing her more candies. She has to stir the magic wand and give orders: bark!, laugh!, crawl! This is meant for little girls, but it will be funny for adults or older children to watch.
