Easy Halloween party games ideas

1. Apple bobbing. Put some apples to float in a bucket or a large basin of water and the players must use their teeth to remove an apple from the bucket or the basin. Variations. Participants may remove the apples standing up, sitting down, kneeling on the floor or using forks trying to drop the fork into an apple.

2. Apple biting. Hang up some apples by strings and the players of the game will try to bite the apples. The first one who bites the apple wins the game. Variation: You can use donuts instead of apples which is a little more funny, sticky and gross.

3. Pumpkin soccer. Have participants laying in a line on the floor on their backs with the heads by the feet of the others and place a little pumpkin on the legs of the person who is on one of the sides of the line. He/she will bounce up the pumpkin with the legs and try to pass it to the next one on the line till the pumpkin reaches the other end.

4. Spider dart. Purchase a decoration spider web and put it on the wall. Have participants make pipe cleaner spiders (read it below). Players can stay away from spider web about 3-4 feet and throw their insects toward the web. The one that throws the spider closer to the middle of the web wins.

How to make spiders for these Halloween party games: Hold 4 pipe cleaners as one together. Strongly twist half of one pipe cleaner wrapping the middle of the 4 pipes to put them together. Spread out a little the pipe cleaners and fold the ends down to make the "leggies". Stick with glue the pom pom to centre of pipe cleaners to get the body. If wanted, use a paper punch to make 2 eyes from purple or red paper and stick it to the body.

5. Inverse Trick or Treat. Trick or treating is a tradition for children to be celebrated on Halloween. Kids go disguised from apartment to aparment asking for gifts such as sweets or sometimes money asking: "Trick or treat?" Tricking refers to a quite lazy way of threatening to do some mischief on the owners of houses or their property if they are not granted with any treats. In Scotland for example they sing or tell a ghost story in order to earn their treats. Whereas in inverse trick or treat halloween party games you get candies when you find someone saying the mischievous or forbidden words.

A bag of candy words list is needed to remember everybody which words can not be pronounced. Provide to each of the participants with a bag with 10 pieces of wrapped sweet in it. The players have to write the names on their bags so that the bags won't get mixed up. Set up a time limit. If you wish you can keep the game going the whole time, even if you are doing other things. The goal of the game is to get people saying one of these words:

PARTY, HALLOWEEN, CANDY, PUMPKIN, WITCH, GHOST, SWEET

It will be of help writting the words in big letters on a piece of paper and tape the paper up where everybody can see it. If you find someone saying one of the words on the list, that player will give you a piece of candy from their bag. The participant who has the biggest amount of candies at the end of the game wins a gift. The others can share the candies left in their bag.
