Halloween Kids Games. Cards, Bingo, Pumpkin Games for Kids

Halloween kids games are ideal anytime during the year.

But what If I tell you about some card, bingo, pumpkin Halloween kids games too?

Here they are and remember that Halloween is just one week away.

Put the Nose on the Pumpkin

This is a amazing Halloween version of Pin the Tail on the Donkey.

Make use of a marker or paint to draw eyes and a mouth on a pumpkin.

Add ears and a hat or a cup if you want.

Draw a red dot for the nose.

Cut a nose shape from black card.

Blindfolded, kids take turns to walk up to the pumpkin and stick the nose on the pumpkin.

The kid who gets the closest to the dot becomes the winner of these targetting the nose pumpkin halloween kids games.

Halloween Corners Card

Every corner or four areas of the room are assigned for example Ghosts, Witches, Goblins and Skeletons.

A tag is hung up naming each corner or area.

Kids dance following the tune of the music. When the music stops each kid picks up a corner or zone to go to. The caller then take outs a card and calls out what is it.

All players in that corner are eliminated. When 4 or less children remain, each corner can have maximum one kid. The kid who remains the last wins these halloween kids games.

Creepy Spotter

Kids stand in a circle.

One child is picked to be the Creepy Spotter.

The Creepy Spotter leaves the room or turns his/her back while a child from the circle is chosen to be Creepy.

Creepy chooses the repetitive, rhythmic movements that everybody will make without moving from their places.

Movements matching Halloween Kids Games may be:

With stirring a brew action

Hovering over ghost like movements

Creepy, clumsy, jerky zombie movements

Witch on a broomstick movement

Persuade Creepy to be creative with his/her actions.

When everybody is emulating Creepy's action, the Spotter returns to the room and starts to observe the children.

The Creepy Spotter's job is to guess who Creepy is in 3 guesses.

Creepy changes the actions as often as possible without being seen by the Spotter. Everyone keeps emulating Creepy's actions.

After 3 guesses or once the Creepy Spotter guesses Creepy's identity, a new game begins with a new Spotter and a new Creepy being chosen.

Hint. Players may need to be persuaded not to look at Creepy as this will make it very easy to the Spotter. In its place they can glance over the children and modify their movements when they realize that others are already changing their movements.

Halloween Bingo

Each participant is given a 4 X 4 table or grid with sixteen seasonal Halloween Words.

The caller can have the Halloween Words on cards and draw them out one by one.

Kids cover their words when they are called and compete to be the first to cover a diagonal, column or a row.

Halloween Mimic Bingo

An attractive variation of the ordinary Bingo game is to have the caller mime the word that is called. The other participants guess what is being mimed and when it is confirmed that the word is correct, they can then cover the word.

Try these Halloween Words for your Halloween Bingo game: vampire, mummies, ghost, Dracula, Jack the Ripper, cauldron, Frankenstein, witches, spells, bats, blood, cats, pumpkin, Jack-o-lantern, haunted house, zombies, cemetery, broom, costume, candy, coffin, owl, potion, tombstone, werewolf, spider, monster.

Halloween Whispers

Children sit in a circle or in a row.

The first person is told a Halloween sentence in a whisper. It can be something creepy like: The eerie, Jack the Ripper, glowing Jack-o-lantern whispered as we walked past ...

This kid then whispers it to the next one, who will repeat it to the next and so on.

The exciting part is when the last person tells what they think the message is. It is usually quite different at the end from the original message passed on at the beginning. It can also be thrilling to let each person tell what they thought the message was.

Halloween Variation Movement

In this version, children sit in a line all facing away from the first participant.

The first kid is shown or makes a miming action, for example an old person winking his/her eyes alternatively.

This player then taps the next one on the shoulder so he/she turns around and sees how the first participant does the movement.

The movement is subsequently passed on to the next kid and so on till it get through to the last player.
