If you have some recycled plastic eggs from past games for Easter, then you have all the reasons to organize an egg hunt this coming Easter. Or if the weather is fine where you are, paint some eggs and hide those, making this game into an Easter crafts activity too.

Hide the eggs creatively, and pair each little child with an adult to keep it fair. Otherwise, older kids would wipe one area clean of eggs even before the younger ones get there, and games for Easter can cause tears if there's inequity! Writing the names of the kids on the eggs might seem like a tedious job, but it is a great idea so that nobody has to run over others and grab every egg they can.

The first one to find all his or her eggs and turn them all in is the winner, though try to prepare treats for all the kids to prevent them from getting upset when some gets a ton of prizes while others hardly get any. Remember that you can have separate hunts for the older and younger kids if you have sufficient eggs on hand.

We also found a fun and very cute hide-em-find-em reusable Easter Egg hunt game for Easter that is a nice alternative to all the hyperactive chocolate eggs you'll otherwise have to use.

Cute plastic egg games for Easter are not weather-dependent, and can be used indoors or outside.

Word Easter Egg Hunt

This fun word game for Easter is a variation of the traditional Easter Egg hunt game, and the good news is, it's equally exciting and fun, as well as educational. This Easter egg game is more suitable for higher age ranges, including adults.

Write one letter of the alphabet on small strips of paper; try to use plenty of vowels. Place one to three strips of paper inside each plastic egg that you have. (If using real eggs, paint letters on to the shells.)

All the players gather around after they are finished hunting for eggs. Give each player a pencil and a sheet of paper on which they will write words they can form out of the letters found inside or on their eggs. Allot an ample amount time for everybody to finish. The player with the most number of words is the winner. Give a bonus for the longest word formed.

Easter Egg Toss Game

This game creates tons of laughter at the Easter party. But since the Easter Egg Toss game plays with raw eggs, it could get really messy; so much so that you might want to put plastic trash bags over your clothes so as to protect them. Of course you can use hard boiled eggs, but it is the breaking of the raw eggs that provides most of the fun and excitement.

Guests pair-off and face each other, standing about five feet apart. One egg is given to each pair. If there are kids present, it is a good idea to pair them with older adults. At the Go signal, the egg is tossed from one partner to the next.

The pairs who caught their eggs without breaking them move on to the second round, whereas the others who didn't are out of the game. The process repeats after each successful catch, though the pairs must take one step back backward every round to make the toss longer and more difficult. The last pair left in the end with an unbroken egg wins the game.

There is another game for Easter called Egg Toss although it is intended for younger audience and plays differently from the one mentioned above.

In this game, you will need to prepare a large cardboard box with an Easter basket drawn on it. Make a good size hole cut-out in the center of the basket, or you can even add a few smaller holes for older kids. Bean bags, hard-boiled eggs, or toy Easter eggs are used for this game.

Place the box with the Easter basket art a little distance from the area where the kids are to line up. Use a tape to mark a distance line. The object of the game is to get the bean bags through the holes of the box. Give each child three tries to do the toss. The player who gets all three Easter egg bean bags in gets a reward.

Egg and Spoon Race Relay

This is a fun games for Easter where mature guests can participate along with the kids. First, divide the players into two teams, which are further divided into two groups – one at point A, and the other at point B. The first player of each group is given an egg on a spoon to carry from A to B. If you don't want to use real eggs, try these wooden eggs instead.

When the player reaches the point B, the egg on a spoon is handed off to the next person, who carries it back to point A, to the next player, and so on. Hard-boiled eggs are commonly used but raw eggs can also be used if you are willing to get messy and sacrifice a couple.

If an egg is dropped, the player who carries the egg must go back to the point where he or she started. The first team to complete the back and forth relay wins the game.

Egg Bowling

This game is played just like lawn bowls and this can be played either indoors or outdoors. It makes use of colored boiled eggs as the 'ball', while a white hard-boiled egg is used as the target.

The guests compete with each other to determine who can roll the egg closest to the target white egg without touching it. The first player to win a certain number of rounds is the winner.

Pin the Egg on the Bunny

See who puts the bunny egg to where it is supposed to be in this funny game for Easter. Materials such as paper, pencil, glue tape, pins, scissors, colorful cloths, and handkerchief are what you need to get the game started.

First you need to make a drawing of a large bunny standing on its legs with its paws together, facing upwards as if it were carrying an egg. Tape this bunny to a wall or any flat surface. With your scissors, make a cut out of egg shapes from your different colored cloth and stick a pin to each.

Now ask the guests to put on a blindfold and hand them one egg cut-out each to be pinned on the sheet. The person who pins it correctly wins the game.

Easter Egg Roll

You don't have to be at the White House lawn on Easter Monday to fully enjoy the annual Easter Egg craze. Start your own Easter tradition at home instead by playing an Easter Egg Roll with the whole family. This game can either be held indoors or outdoors if the weather permits.

Boil a big pot of eggs and color them beforehand. On the big day, each player is given a hard-boiled Easter egg. The object of the game is to get the egg from the start to the finish. Keep the course short for the younger ones, but make the task more difficult for the older players by having a longer distance from the start to finish line, or obstacles to get around.

Hand each player a spoon for them to use in pushing the egg. Other alternatives when you don't have enough silverware on hand are pushing the egg with the feet without cracking the shell, or getting down on their hands and knees and roll the egg using only their noses. It is fun to see players race to the finish pushing their eggs with their spoons, or whatever they are playing with. Remember that if any unspecified part of their body touches the egg, they are out of the game!

Steal the Egg

You wouldn't want to miss this exciting game for Easter, in which adults can play along with the kids. Steal the Egg requires two teams and a referee to play.

Each team member is assigned a number so a team would have a number 1, number 2, and so on. Both teams line up standing opposite to each other, with a hard-boiled Easter egg placed in the middle. The person who acts as the referee calls out a number. Then the two players from each team with that number approach the egg.

The object is to pick it up and get back to your line without getting tagged by the other player. The team gets a point if a player succeeds in doing so. Take note that a player can only be tagged after picking up the egg, thus a strategy is involved in deciding whether to go for the egg first or wait for the other player to pick it up. The first team to earn ten points wins the game.

Easter Egg Tapping

Put lots of boiled eggs in a bowl or a basket and pass it around to let everybody choose their eggs. The task is to pick an egg which they think looks strong and could probably take some hits without getting cracked.

The basic idea is to keep your egg intact until the end. The game starts as soon as all the guests have one egg on hand. Anyone who likes to go first can go across the room or turn to the person next to them and hit their egg against their opponent's egg. They can also accept hits from others.

The eggs should be firmly tapped from end to end. An egg that cracks is considered the losing egg, while the one which managed to remain intact can continue hitting with the other eggs. The person who has not sustained any break on his or her egg until the end wins the game.

Pass the Egg

This game for Easter is for the young ones and the young at heart to enjoy on Easter day. The game only requires you to have two egg-shaped pillows or stuffed toys, roughly the size of an orange, in order to play. You could easily sew your own if you don't have one handy.

Divide the guests into two teams and have them lined up. Each pillow egg is given to the first player in line of each team. After you give the Go signal, the first player must place the pillow between his or her chin and neck and pass it to the next player.

The challenging part is that the players cannot use their hands or any other part of the body in passing the object. The process continues to the last person in line then it reverses, sending the pillow back to the first player where the pillow originally came from. The first team to complete the task wins the game.

Easter Pictionary

This fun Easter drawing game is an evergreen classic that requires no special props. To get things started, think of some Easter related words such as "bunny", "egg hunt", "spring" etc. for your clues. You can make it more difficult for adult players by going for phrases instead of words such as "roll the egg with a spoon". Write these Easter related clues on small pieces of paper, and put them all in a basket or a bowl. Divide the players into two groups and have a toss coin to decide which team goes first.

A player from one team draws a clue, which they must draw for their teammates to guess. Set a time limit for this game for an Easter party. If they guess correctly before time runs out, they score a point.

If the playing team failed to guess correctly, the opposing team is given five seconds to come up with a correct answer. They score a point if they guess the correct answer. The same process is followed by the second team and the game continues until all team members get a chance to draw. The team who scores more points at the end wins the game.
