Bridal Shower Games
Though bridal shower games are played mainly in the US and Canada, they were originally played in Brussels, Belgium around 1860.
Bridal showers used to be mainly about giving gifts to future wifes. So that is why a women's bridal shower sometimes makes more sense than a mixed bridal party.
In case you want to play some bridal shower games (ladies only), we would suggest these games and activities:
1. Guessing whose gift it is. Each one of the guests have to bring along gifts for the bride to be, put them in a big bag and have the bride open them. The bride has to try to guess whose gift is whose.
2. Love story telling. Have everyone plus the bride to be tell how her first date was with her husband, present or best ex-boyfriend, and how their first kiss was. Try to tell the true story, but embellish and tell it as entertainingly as possible. The best story-teller gets a chocolate candy.

3. Gift story. Hand your presents to the bride and have her open them. The bride will tell how she plans to use that gift once she's married and how that will improve her marriage. Let her use her imagination.
4. How well you know the bridegroom? The friends of the bride will ask the bridegroom in advance about details, dates and events of his life and they will ask the bride these questions to see how well she knows her bridegroom. Variation. Write 20 questions about the husband, bridegroom, present or best ex-boyfriend and make a competition and see who knows more about other's ladies love life.
The
Bridal Shower Box of Questions is a good
alternative to trivia games you have to make up yourself.
Bridal shower games to be played with males as well:
1. How well you know him. Prepare a trivia and ask the bride questions about her bridegroom, her relationship with him, her first dates, etc. and have the bridegroom confirm if the answers she says are right. You can have a couples' competition trying to find out with the very same questions for each lady who knows better her husband, bridegroom, boyfriend or last ex-boyfriend.
2. Guys being obedient. The bride orders the guys to do silly things and they have to obey: barking as a dog, worship her as a goddess, kiss the chair where she is sitting.
3. Gift exchange game. Men buy little gifts for their ladies, put them in a big bag and ladies take a gift from the bag. The bride can pick up two gifts. The lady missing her gift or if there are more ladies than giftts they get instead a chocolate candy.
4. Watch a bride and groom or boyfriend/girlfriend comedy film
as for example the classic Four Weddings and a
Funeral and make a
trivia
out of it, with very specific questions to make it more difficult (for
example: colours of some items appearing in the movie, names and
surnames of people, actors and places of the movie, order of sequences
and events in the movie, etc.)
