Wrapping the gift
The goal in this game is to wrap up the gift as much as possible. Children are divided in groups. In front of each group an empty box (cookies, shoes box, etc.) is placed wrapped up with Christmas wrapping paper. Next to the box there will be a paper roll, Selotape and some scissors suitable for children.
At the sound of: "GO!" the first kid in the line starts running towards the gift, cuts the piece of paper, tape and wrap up the box. Then the child comes back to his/her team, touches the hand of the next one and so on till all the children of the team have wrapped up the box. The team who makes it faster wins.
Christmas Carol Karaoke
In this game the kid that can sing the most Christmas carols wins. Instructions: Cut star-shaped pieces of fine cardboard and write in each one of them the name of a well-known Christmas carol. Put the cardboard pieces in a bag and make the children stand in a circle.
One of the kids will draw a piece of star from the bag without looking inside. The kid will sing the carol that shows in the piece of star-shaped fine cartonboard. If he/she doesn't know the carol, the kid will pass on the carol to the next one and so on till the piece of star cardboard gets in the hands of a child that knows the carol. The kid who sings a carol is given 1 point. The kid who gets the most points wins.
Christmas Theatre
Many times among so many parties, the real meaning of Christmas is forgotten and we stop thinking about the fact that we need to feel Christmas inside. A way of remembering Christmas is dressing up. So gather all children and some adults and form a theatre group to make a play in Christmas Eve or Christmas night.
Choose a character for each one of the kids and adults and the most suitable fancy dress for them. Let the children make their own fancy dresses with pieces of sheets and old clothes. Set up a stage, make somebody to play the character of Jesus or use a doll or puppet for it, use stuffed animals as decoration and prepare and advanced plot. Christmas Eve will be unforgettable for everybody.
Surprise musical present
First pick up a Christmas decoration and wrap it up as it were a present. On top of this put another layer or wrapping paper inserting some chocolates or candies in between the layers. As many layers as desired can be added on as long as chocolates or candies are placed in between them. Then the children will form a circle, play music and keep passing on the present till the music stops.
When the music stops the kid with the present in his/her hands will take off the first wrapping layer of the present and eat the candy or chocolate. Keep playing till you finish all the presents and candies or chocolates.
